White Wine Chicken Recipe

  • 6 chicken breast fillets, cut in half and skins removed

  • 125g button mushrooms, wiped and left whole

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 1 green pepper, sliced

  • 100ml sweet white wine

  • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard

  • 1 chicken stock cube, crumbled

  • cup of hot water

  • cup of cream

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Dissolve stock cubes in hot water and mix in mustard.

Place all the ingredients in the Crockpot or Slow Cooker except the cream. Mix well until combined.

Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours.

Stir the cream into the crockpot.

Cook on HIGH whilst preparing accompaniments until juice has thickened and chicken is cooked. Try to avoid boiling.

Serve the Crockpot Chicken in White Wine with freshly steamed broccoli and carrots and paprika roasted potatoes.
