Beef and Beer Crockpot
Beef and Beer recipe
You
can also use stout, ginger beer or bitter for this crockpot recipe.

500g of lean stewing beef cut into 2cm cubes

2 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed

1 onion, peeled and finely chopped

2 teaspoons fresh thyme

¼ cup cake flour

340ml can of beer

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 beef cube, crumbled

Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place the salt and pepper and flour into a food or freezer bag, add the meat and shake well to coat.
Remove the meat from the bag and place with the other ingredients in the crockpot, mix to combine. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or until the meat is tender.
Turn the crockpot setting to HIGH and mix in the cornflour to thicken the gravy 30 minutes before serving.
Serve the Beef and Beer Crockpot garnished with a sprig of thyme.
